Frequently Asked Questions
Can Nylon 11 be applied to stainless steel?
Yes, Nylon 11 can be applied to all metals including stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum and cast iron.
How thick is Nylon coating?
Nylon 11 coatings can be applied at thicknesses of up to 2mm, providing superior protection compared to many conventional coating systems. The thicker coating offers excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, corrosion, and chemical attack, making it well suited to demanding industrial applications where long-term durability is required.
Is Nylon 11 food safe?
Yes, certain grades of Nylon 11 are approved for food-contact applications and are widely used in food processing equipment. Nylon 11 provides a durable, corrosion-resistant, and easy-to-clean coating, making it suitable for many food industry environments. Compliance requirements may vary depending on the application and grade used.
Can Nylon coating be repaired?
Depending on how long ago the item was coated, Nylon coating can be repaired. However, if the coating is old sometimes it is recommended for the whole coating to be redone.
